Across from Dole Road and in Coon Hollow is where I usally go. I will sell my gold after I get  a lil bit [more]. I'm 27 looking for a highbanker. I do this for an income right now due to no work. Love to be at the river. It's a good feeling to find a hundred lil flakes in 3 hours time. Makes you feel good.

How to get the gold.

Rob Perry would be the first to tell you that "Gold is where you find it." And, there are many ways of getting the gold from its resting place in the earth, in the river, to your gold pan. Rob's not been at this hobby long, but he's learned some things: "In the end it's just hard work."

Prospecting for Gold

Prospecting is always enjoyable in the Oregon forests. It doesn't mean, however, that one always comes home with his pockets stuffed with the shiny stuff. But you can always be sure, that you WILL  learn something valuable! Join Rob and Allan for a few seconds as they "Work for the Gold!"

Outing today yields little gold.

This area was just glorious. The new spring greens lit up the creek moss and bank. It rained a little. The sun broke through the low clouds, warming our shoulders. But, we found not enough "color" to take the place seriously. So how was your prospecting day?  Comment.
